
Chesapeake, VA (January 20, 2026) – A serious two-vehicle collision occurred early Monday near the intersection of Indian River Rd and Sparrow Rd in Chesapeake, triggering a major emergency response involving fire, EMS, and rescue crews.
The accident was reported at approximately 6:23 a.m. Initial concerns included the possibility of occupant entrapment. Multiple units, including Battalion One, Engine Two, Engine Fourteen, Medic Two, Medic Fourteen, Ladder Two, EMS One, and Rescue One, were dispatched to the scene.
