
Chesapeake, VA (January 24, 2026) – A two-vehicle crash on the southbound side of Veterans Bridge caused injuries and traffic delays Wednesday evening. The incident took place around 5:23 p.m. on January 21 along Dominion Blvd S, prompting a response from Chesapeake fire and medical teams.
Engine 8 and a medic unit arrived to find both vehicles disabled and at least one person in need of medical attention. Fortunately, all occupants had exited their vehicles by the time responders arrived. Medics evaluated the injured individual on site while fire crews secured the area and checked for any hazards, including fluid leaks or potential fire risks.
The extent of injuries and whether transport to a hospital was required have not been confirmed. Investigators are reviewing the circumstances of the crash, including whether speed, road conditions, or lane changes contributed to the collision.
